A perfect day for Auckland Anniversary Day. We strolled along the waterfront, up North Head, down to the beach and back.

Auckland Anniversary day is a public holiday for Auckland and surrounding provinces. It's the anniversary of the arrival of William Hobson (he was later the first Governor of New Zealand) in the Bay of Islands in 1840. We weren't there.
